Winter

Winter is a very attractive time to hide away in El Secret. The cold invites you to take refuge in your room, watching the flames dance through the glass of your wood-burning stove, reading a good book, or relaxing in a hot bath while observing the beautiful landscape through the window. On Valentine’s Day, moreover, you can experience the curious solar alignment through the foradà.

If the rains have been favourable, we can see the Gallinera river flow, or approach the neighbouring Encantà Canyon. Local celebrations such as Sant Antoni del Porquet in January are a good excuse to return. Between January and February, we can also enjoy the colour of the almond blossom and hopefully even some snow. It is a cold period when you’ll want to take walks, explore paths, eat well and rest better.
