Excursions

The Gallinera Valley and its surroundings are crisscrossed by paths that pass through landscapes of great natural beauty. A classic track is the one that ascends Benitaia towards the foradà. Another passes by the Cova del Moro (Moor’s Cave), cresting the mountain to descend through the pass of Benissivà and Benitaia.

Other routes include the Path of the Eight Towns or the walk to the bed of the Gallinera River (when dry). Alternatively, you can explore deep ravines such as the Cova Negra or the Cova Jeroni, or take paths that lead to the castles of La Vall or to the main groupings of cave paintings. All are routes that, depending on the season, will reveal their different aspects and charms.
